VoIP Cordless Phone from Philips Nexperia

The PCD8072x baseband chips form the heart of the Nexperia 820 cordless phone system solution, which can handle WiFi, Bluetooth, DECT-including U.S. DECT-or WDCT as their transmission standards.

Customers already working with the Philips Nexperia cordless system solutions can now easily add VoIP to their existing products. Makers can cut lead-time, reduce system cost and provide flexibility for remote software updates because the chips combine high levels of integration with embedded Flash technology.

The PCD8072x family is currently shipping in volume to top cordless phone manufacturers worldwide. It is available as part of the Nexperia System Solution 820 or as a standalone product.

Philips will demonstrate the new VoIP baseband chips at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, January 2006.
